I've a circuit which takes 5v from 5V DC from mains when mains present and get a battery backup when mains disconnect.and i am using different LDO for that.
so how to make them work together?
will the first/second LDO will get damaged because of reverse voltage when second/first LDO is working.

please reply....thank you

I think there is a risk of a problem. It is difficult to know what the unused regulator will do if the output is pulled up by another regulator. I think all you need to do is use a single regulator with diodes from both the battery and your 5V supply to the regulator input. This does mean you will have a diode drop on your battery side though.

Keith.
