I noticed that BSIM4 has been officially released. And I also read README file s from BSIM4 tar file and found that part of Spice3f5 source code needed to be modified.

Since I would like to try to combine BSIM4 and Spice3f5 version and I haven't touched this area before, I am wondering whether some people on this BBS has worked this kind of field before (Or BSIM3 and Spice3xx version before)? And what's the general procedure for using new released BSIM4?

Do I need to pay attention to some specific stuff when I change source codes and compile them?

Thank you very much.

bsim4

hey ethan,
If u have added BSIM4 in spice 3f5...plz help me also in this...i m doin a project in which i need the same...i m a student...lookin forward to ur reply
thnx

compile spice3f5

Like BSIM3 to level 1 model..BSIM4 is just the addition of BSIM3, where they put tender details on submicron and nanoscale device.

I'm also new in this models, but as I know, if your design didn't involve very low W&L, the result is not much differ to BSIM3 result. If u r using 0.12µ technology and below(now to 50n), in your design then u it wil effect your circuit.

You should go to Berkleys web site or find Uyemura last book of Submicron VLSI Design. At the appendix, got list of parameter involved in BSIM4..I got the book but I didn't have scanneers....I'll see what I can do, but I didn't promise
