change-sun-hostid

Hi all,

i got a sun workstation, and i'd like to change its host id and ethernet address.
I was considering reprogramming the NVRAM with the NVRAM content from another sun station.

Is there an easier way to do this.

Thanks

Narc

Re: Host ID !!

What kind of SUN machine do you have ?

You can try "change-sun-hostid" program. It is a collection of C programs and scripts for systems administrators which allow one to change the real or apparent hostid of a Sun workstation. I guess you may already check some "sun-nvram-hostid.faq" page for example like this one http://www.squirrel.com/squirrel/sun-nvram-hostid.faq.html . They contain many useful info.

you may use the soft tool change them.
or change the NVram
