how to calculate an image of object

Hi All,
I need to find out tilt of an object with image technology. I used a circular shape pasted on the object and captured the circular image thru camera. Now when the object tilts the circular image captured by camera become elliptical shape. I can find out the major and minor axis from the captured image. How to find out the tilted angle from the captured circular and elliptical image. I need your help.
Regards,
Vamanan

how to calculate image major axis

Can you find the area of the images in these two conditions?
If so, the cos of the tilt angle is the ration of the area of the ellipse and the circle

I don't specifically have. but as area is a vector with the direction of the vector perpendicular to the surface the projection of it in any other plane is folowed by the cosine component law of vectors.
