Hi,
I am trying to calculate the maximum power rating of a MCU in mA

The electrical data manual says
Typical VDDi / VDDio = 1.8/3.3 V
Typical normal mode power (Total VDDi + VDDio) = 224 mW

Should I divide 224 with 1.8 or 3.3V to get power in mA?

(The MCU is samsungs S3C2410x)

Please help!

Hi,

What do you mean by "maximum current rating"?

If you mean the maximum you can sink/source from the MCU I/Os, then you should use a value specified in mA directly, because the power dissipation capacity of the package doesn't guaranty that each individual I/O can sink/source a given current.

If you want to know the power consumption of the MCU, and the figure you gave seems to be that value, then you can divide the power by the voltage to get the current consumption.
