Hi, I am learning how to use PowerPCB v5, and have a question about adding vias on PCB.

I have already known that I can use "shift+left click" to add via between two different layers when rounting.

My question is how to add some unrounted vias in PowerPCB without any rounting traces connected? Thanks

for what purpose do u want to add vias

i add vias to copper plane at diffrent places to form a solid plane and interconnect planes

the method used by me is as follows
1) draw a route from that net and add via and press CTRL+left click
2) Select and glude that via.
3) Select that via and press CTRL+C.
4) A copy of that via will stick to ur mouse pointer.
5) now u can click anywhere u want, to place via.

Hi,v_kumar. Thanks for your reply. I am going to add some vias along the microstrip feeding line to the antenna to suppress surface wave. That's why the vias are not connected to any rounting traces.
