May I K now if I reduce the switching frequency ,will the inductor current becomes discontinuous

Hi,

not if you have an infinite size inductance.

Impossible to give good answers with about no information.

Nominal frequency, current, voltages, duty cycle, exact inductance type, schematic .....

Short answer = yes, all buck converters become discontinuous at light loads, and for lower values of main L

there are many formulae for this online - an easy search

DCM ( discontinuous conduction mode ) has better dynamics than CCM ( continuous CM ) - but higher peak current for the same ave output current. So it is harder on the input caps & output caps

generally higher core losses too - due to the larger flux swings - in the main L, and wire losses due to the AC current.

Good luck designing and building .!
