Hi,
There is some overshoot and ringing in a signal when I debug a circuit. What amplitude the overshoot and ringsing do not exceed so as to I can ignore them? :?: thanks everybody

Hi,
You cannot do anything about the ringing and overshoot if the circuit is fixed. As long as it is not bothering your operation do not worry about it. You have to measure when this is affecting your circuit functionality. If affecting, change the circuit.

You put a 50 Ohm resistor on the signal line that has ringing such as clock line. This will help dissipate some energy in the resistor and overshoot may subside a little.

Because overshoot will increase crosstalk noise, attenuating the overshoot may be considered. In my view, the 50om resistor, maching the source resistance at the source terminal, might be a little large. I think the 33 or 22 might be better.
