How phase difference is achieved in 2ph and 3ph.

How the phase difference are achieved in 3 phase alternator(120 degree) and 3ph to 2ph Scott transformer (90 degree)?
 

Hello

Three phase alternator having three coil(three Pole or multiple of 3 pole) placed in a circular armature Angle = 360/3= 120
. Each coil act as a single phase alternator

In Scott connected transformer having two identical transformer, teaser transformer having 86.6% (0.5√3) of primary turns than main transformer

Expression for primary voltage

V1 = Vp Sin(ɸ +0)
V2 = Vp Sin(ɸ +120)
V3 = Vp Sin(ɸ +240)
Expression for secondary voltage

V1 = VSin(ɸ) = VSin(ɸ)
V2 = V Sin(ɸ+90) = Vcos(ɸ) Scott.png
 
In simple words: vectors.

Draw a horizontal line, 2 cm long. Place a point exactly halfway (1 cm).

Draw a vertical line exactly 1.73 cm long from the point upwards.

With dashed lines, draw lines connecting the three free ends. You will find that you have drawn a nice isosceles triangle.
