hi, may i know that how PID controller fails in its operation due to failures occur in its circuit components. i.e plz tell me failure modes of PID controller.

You might be looking for FMEA, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, or FMECA, Failure Mode and Effects Critical Analysis... If you want to be really critical about things.

FMEA FMECA - Google Search

In, not so, simple terms you might set up a table for the elements within 'P','I','D' and give results for combinations of each relating to 'Open', 'Short', 'Out of Value' and the resulting 'Consequences'. Then you weight according to 'Probability' and 'Criticality'.

If you understand how your 'PID' controller functions then you should be able to fill in the results yourself.

Genome.
