How many gates are there in this Board ?

Dears,

I am planning to buy this board :



They say it contain:

6,822 slices each containing four 6-input LUTs and eight flip-flops

I understand this, but my question is: for some boards, the desity is given in

terms of "number of gates", when that is the case, what is precisely meaned

by gates? # of LUTs ?
