how LCD current rating is 1.5amp???

i have a 19 wide lenovo PC LCD

written in it a current rating 1.5 amp (1.5*220 * 0.7 = 230 watt) and datasheet saying the max. power is 23 watt how that ??

LCDs don't consume any power (microwatts), they just change the back plane from being reflective to being non reflective. They do have a built in back light (so you can read them in the dark), so perhaps the 1.5 A is for the backlight.

1.5 Amps is not for LCD alone may be the whole system.
 

Is the current rating for voltage after stepping down like say 12 - 16 V DC, if so the values are not too far from what is expected.
 

It may be the rating needed for cold filament lighting
