How is oscillator watchdog implemented/

i've heard of oscillator watchdog, but how is it implemented?

insinde the microcontroller, and we just use the feature? what microcontrollers have oscillator watchdog?

can you briefly describe how to use it for microchip micrcontrollers as i havent tried them before..
microcontrollers i've used so far only have watchdog timer, not oscillator watchdog.
