If you mean digiatally controlled volume control, they work in one of three ways:

1. Analog - the audio is applied to the top of a resistor ladder, the bottom goes to ground. Analog switches pick off the audio at different steps of the ladder.
2. Analog - potential divider method, a fixed resistance is added in series with the audio path and after it a V or I controlled path to ground. The audio is taken from the junction beteen them.
3. Digital - if the audio is digitized, the values are multiplied/divided by a number representing the volume setting.

By volume i mean certain volume (ratio) of a glue or mixture that is used in a mixing & metering systems

esp. of DOPAG mixing & metering systems

Is this device connected to measure volume of flowing liquid ?
That is by measuring velocity (varying) of flow and multiply by area (constant)

there are two method for doing this task ultrasonic and infrared in first method used narrow pulses used to measure flow rate in second method IR LED and Photo diode used to measure flow rate of any type of liquid both such method used in medical technology to measure the flow rate of IV drip set for reference check these link

Can't it be measuring variance of magnetic flux through the flow ? If some one can interpret part names in the diagrams of Post 6; that would be helpful.
 

what does it mean by " B signal Voltage 3/21 V " ? Esp about 3/21 V ???

What's the difference between 3/21 V of green wire & 3/21 V of yellow wire ?

It's a square wave, alternating between nominal low(3V) and nominal high(21 V) level.

Why should we? These are essentially 24 V logic signals, the exact voltage level matters in so far that 0/1 should be readable correctly by the connected equipment.

Checking the output operation functionally seems more reasonable. To do it with a DMM, you'll need to make the volume counter operate so slow, that you can see low and high levels over a sufficient long period, e.g. 1 second. Don't know if it can be easily achieved.

Seeing both outputs toggling at higher flow rates would already suggest correct device operation of.
 

It usually toggling for e.g : 24VDc to 4 Vdc

measured via DMM DC Volts ...... is it right ?
