How does pdiusbd12 smart kit change between modes ?

pdiusbd12 smart

I want to build a data acquisition board with usb link. i want to use pdiusbd12 for usb controler in 1MByte per second transfer rate.I find smart kit usefull for this purpose but i don't know how this kit switch between modes ( scaner , printer and loop back).And i can't find driver for this kit.( I send mail to philips but i don't resive anythings).Please help me
