How does AMPS take care of adjacent channel interference?

My TV receives almost 1000 channels on cable but has NO adjacent channel interference.
My FM radio receives over 100 stations but has NO adjacent channel interference.

A radio system is designed with good selectivity to avoid adjacent channel interference.

I'm asking in terms of cellular system

Like the good radio systems I listed, a cell phone system is designed to use filters to eliminate adjacent channel interference.

It may used Direct Conversion like this. Then only simple low-pass filtering is needed.
