hi, i was wondering..how do you test your system/product for lightning environment?
 

Lightning Test

There is a seperate lightning test lab used to pass simulated lightning shocks over the UUT.

Simulator will feed volages gradually and the behaviour of the unit will be checked continuously to get working curve.

What kind of requirement would you like to meet?
What have you done to protect your design ?

Some lightning standards:
DO160 for europeen aircraft
ABD 007 (I'm not sure of the number) for Airbus aircraft
Mil std 704 (I believe) for USA aircraft
