I think the problems are due to some of the safety concerns regarding Li-Ion batteries. Overcharging a Li-ion battery can turn its lithium oxide into metallic lithium, increasing the danger of an explosion. For that reason, need to use Li-ion batteries with integrated sensors to monitor temperature, voltage and the current being charged or discharged. It’ s a must to prevent personal injury and to protect the equipment that the battery powers. Smart chargers may include several functions in which a short-circuit, open, under cutoff, temperature or the OK state is detected. Any timeouts for all states of the charger are transmitted to the main controller, and for no battery connected, phone blocked/not working.
