Hi

I have a small Stereo FM Transmitter PCB that I want to be able to connect on the USB port for its power and audio input. I then want the PC to channel audio to this port as well as provide the low power needed for the transmitter.

So how do I make the PC see my PCB as a USB device. What do I need to get audio out on this port? Do I need to process serial data on this port to get it in analog form?

Thanks E

hi,

you need a levelchanger that brings your usb level to a digital signal and then you have to convert it to a analog one (DAC)

look at www.ftdichip.com they offer
two usb ics. one can bring usb to a seriel port and the other to 8-Bit parallel interface. It also works in the other way (FTDI -> PC).

hope it helps
