hi
all my friends!
i want to know ,how can i convert 5V ,500A (AC) to DC.please help me!!!
thanks!

This is the simplest case .You need a BRIDGE and a Capacitor.Maybe is more complex than that .But even you don't know the frequency of the AC .So how can we help you with so little to go.?

And we dont know how much ripple is allowed at the otput, must be it exactly 5V DC?...

what rectifier can i use?it is high current?ripple voltage can has alittle.frequency 50Hz

Hi,
Yes, these is a "high current" rectifier...
Whats your input, is it a transformers secondary & are the input wires potential free_not GND-ed_pls?
How is environment_is it warm, industrial or laboratory or dusty & moisty?
I dont no in which country are you_can you buy all needed components pls?
Is 5V input TRMS value?
K.

Why 5 V ???
5 V are only used in Digital circuitry .Are you going to supply power to a 100000.. CPus ?
