Is it possible to build a circuit which allows measuring power consumption of my whole home, and storing data for further processing?
I heard about hall sensor, which could "do the trick", but don't know anything about them, and how to use them.
I fodun some ready-made solutions, but "cheapest ones" (100$!!) display much more data than I need, and they do not store anything, they just send out a "pulse output".
Hi,
Analog Devices have an IC for AC power measurement, but making an accurate energy meter is a a real challange. Also I think the electronic enegy meters produce an LED pulse output proportional to the energy measured. You can probably optically couple and make use of this output for further processing?
