It’s a 2x200W amplifier for small party’s or home audio system. Importand was not only good quality of sound ant power, but also esthetic and durability.
Power supply
Main is a toroid 450VA 2x38V, 5 units of 10 000uF 63V per power rail. At output I have straight voltage 51+/-3V. Standard softstart is 3 resistors 10ohm 15W. to power peripherals I used another transformer 2x18V, 5V, 12V. All part of grid voltage is cover in pod, so as power wire – this allow to minimalism noise problem. Board of power supply is mine project and it consist stabilizers of ancillary’s voltage, condensers, DC protection, overloading protection.
Amplifier
For great power responsible is of course Holton 200.
Amplifiers brain - control system
As I said amplifier should be deathproof. Heart of system is atmeg 32 because of great number I/O connections. Clocking is 20 MHz quartz.
Functions:
- IR remote control ( source, volume, mute, equalizer, preamplifier, on/off, RGB backlight, service mode, and more)
- analysis of actual voltage. At power supply section are by passes and voltage dividers. Thanks to them atmeg know what is happen with system and in case of error can disconnect speakers.
- power analysis - output current, in case of overloading speakers are disconnect
- display - show any errors, display all information about functions.
- COM slot - allow to comunicate with PC or other device. There is winamp mode - you can controll winamp by amplifier's remote control and at the display we can see title, band, and time. Functions are : play, stop, pause, next, prev, next10
- service mode - you can check all parameters, errors, make corrections, or even change some functions by num keyboard.
- RGB backlight is controlled by PWM - 5 different modes : free colors, 4 modes with light adjust to music
- 3 temperature sensors - cooler system or even stop amplifier.
- outside eeprom - save play mode when system is off. Also remember constans parameters like temperatures, secure system, errors codes.
Preamplifier
Based on popular internet projects. Board is design to my amplifier ( size , shape ). Generally signal is so strong that you provably want use that.
Sound corrector
Standard with low , middle , high.
Cables - audio cables goes upper boards. Microphone's cables in double shield, as short as it's possible. Power wires under boards.
Potentiometer - Alps 100k
