Hi, total noob here.

I'm struggling with what I would assume is probably a basic circuit.

I'm trying to implement a instrumentation amplifier to create a single ended signal out of a high voltage differential signal (+50V/-50V). I am trying to detect a relatively small (1V) pulse and turn that into a 0V-5V logic. Please help!

Provided you don't have a differential amplifier with sufficient common mode range, you'll usually start with a differential voltage divider, possibly compensated.

Bandwidth and intended input impedance matters of course.
