The amplitude is not changed, just the DC offset. It's a high-pass filter which does not pass DC. It SAYS it right there in great, big letters.
 

A passive high pass filter is a R-C network in which the output is taken across the resistor.
Since ideally Xc=infinity when f=0 Hz, it will block any DC offset voltage that may be present at the input and will pass only the AC component in the signal.
