Hi, I am trying to extract results from HFSS and export them for Matlab. I simulated a plane wave scattering from a cylinder and managed to plot the surface current on it. Now, I need to export this surface current on a cross section (current on the perimeter) to matlab. Does anyone know how to do this ? Thanks a lot

Hi,

You can use the field calculator in HFSS (right click on the surface/Plot Fields/J/Mag_Jsurf and left click on Field Calculator).
You apply the operations that you want to perform and you plot this new variable in a "Data Table" (in Results tab).
Then you export it by a right click on the table and "export". The file format is .csv

Best Regards
