hexagonal shape for cellular commn

areas are divided into hexagons called as cells ...this inspired from honey beehivewhere all nests are hexagon shape so there will not overlap...same thing is used for cells also...if we are forming our cells area as circle means certainly ther will be overlap...but if cell shape is square means here also there will not be any overlap... then why didn't choosing cell shape as square....

With a omnidirectional or sectorial antenna....imagine will you ever get a coverage in square shape area, hexagonal shape closely resembles with a circle and don't overlap as well show proper coverage area....thats the only reason.
