Hai
This is a test hex file generated by mplab for PIC 16F876A(For my learning purpose)

Code:
:020000040000FA
:06000000000000000228D0
:02400E00393F38
:00000001FF

My doubt is the configuration location adress is 2007h for ths chip. But in this hex file I understand the address of the last record as 0E40. Why?

Can anybody clarify this ?
record with 6 data is programe memmory
and record with 2 data is config bits

thanks

got it!

2007 is word address
400E is byte address. (double)

right?

Yes, that's it!

Cheers,
