I am currently working on some software to send data to the noritake 7000 series of VFD display. I am doing the programing in vb 6.0. I'v got most of it working fine but if I connect the CTS line from the vfd to the CTS line of the serial port it makes my software lock up after a short while. If I leave the CTS line disconected then it wont lock up.
I was wondering if the CTS line being disconected is a big deal? Also I was wondering about the send speeds. This is a serial display and im runing it at 38,400. It seems that even at this speed that it is sending way to slow. I'm always sending 4 lines by 20 characters long.
