hi all.. i am going to start learning about rtos. after a quick googling i found about freertos. first think i need to get clarified is that can freertos be put on any microcontroller and can be scheduled??to learn about rtos which will be the best way.. like gettting a normal 8 bit controller board and run freertos on it..or buy an rtos board??if so please give me some suggestions but price is a constraint for me.. Is there any cheap boards available?..i am a newbie so what i know just is some basic interfacing stuff and i don know much about rtos..

thanx in advance

Yes

to learn about rtos which will be the best way
Read and experiment

Depending on your application. If you only need to do simple task, you can even do it on breadboard and load rtos to microcontroller.

Is there any cheap boards available?
Yes. DIY or any simple microcontroller development board or tools will do. As well as e-blocks.

You can also check in Micrium - Home ( UCOS 11)
