Hi.
Does anyone khow that is it possible to plot a relation in MATLAB without solving for x or y?

For example, for a given x value, calculate the avilabe ys and then plot!
I see a problem. that is: the xy pairs will have different sizes!
(x1,y1) for x1
(x2,y2)&(x2,y3) for x2
and...
:|:D

y= √(2^2 - x^2)

x=-10:.1:10;
y=sqrt(4-x^2);

plot3(real(y),imag(y),x)

Then rotate the graph, with that curve arrow next to the hand in the graph window.

Sorry I did not see the "Not solving for Y.

You can convert it to a Parametric equation and plot that. I know that the TI
calculators have a nice write up on how to do that.

Thanks Element_115
By not solving for Y! I mean what if one can't take out y out of a function.
Now consider this:
Besselj(y)=sin(x)
what can be done about this equation to be ploted?:D
