Help: Please give me a example code of compact flash(CF)

I want to use a ARM or Hitachi H8 CPU to read and write the compact flash(CF), because a great deal of data should be stored in the compact flash like stored in a hard disk. But I don't know how to control the compact flash like a hard disk.
If anyone have the C code for example? Thank you!

Doubt in Compactflash

Hi all,
I am using a 4gb compact flash. I am also interfacing it with a CPLD and a TI DSP.
But in the memory map of the dsp only 256MBytes of block address is mapped to the compact flash which is a 4gb device. The TI dsp uses the EMIF device to interface with the CF. Can anybody explain this. Also if anybody has a Source code for COMpactflash read/write in C, please send it acros. It will be of gr8 help to me.
