help needed in selecting Temperature sensor?

Hi friends,

I want to measure temperature of Battery(Ni-Cd, 25 Ah) during Charging and Discharging.

Can somebody suggests me a Temperature Sensor which can be interfaced to (ADC in built)
Micro controller?

can i use LM35 for this purpose? If so how do i place the sensor on the Battery?

Looking forward for positive response.

The LM35 is a good choice, sine it's available in a TO220 package (with a hole in the tab). But there's probably nowhere to screw onto on the battery. I've seen people use a combination of tape and thermal epoxy to just stick it to the battery or whatever.
