Data packet is in L3 , do the S.IP and D.IP is put in the headers Then to L2 , Where the the Datalink source and destination addresses is put Then to L1 , The "Sending bits" Layer , which is your Ethernet. . This is the rule of each layer in short from L3 ---->L1
