Hello there!
I need to design an antenna with given parameters:
Range: 1.7 - 2.7 GHz
Gain: 6-7dBi

When calculating width and lendth of antenna - what resonant frequency should I choose? Is it reasonable to choose an average value - i.e 2.2GHz ? or should it be maximum - 2.7GHz ?
Also, when controlling the results in HFSS - 6-7 dBi gain should be visible on Far fiel -> total gain plot?

Thank you in advance

Yes resonance frequency should be chosen in the middle of your range.

Also, when controlling the results in HFSS - 6-7 dBi gain should be visible on Far fiel -> total gain plot?

Yes.

A Patch antenna for 2,2 GHz and 1 GHz bandwidth (e.g. 45 %) is a big task. Normally a patch antenna has 5-10 % bandwidth.

I've created a project, but after running an analysys, there is no option for displaying FAR FIELD plots
what could be the reason? :S

You must create a report:

"Results" --> "Create Far Fields Report" --> "Radiation Pattern" or --> "3D Polar Plot"
