current comparator

Sir,
In my project I have to set a reference value of current in micro-controller.Now,current will be measured at the o/p of Transformer which will be then converted into its Digital equivalent. This value will be compared with the reference in the Micro-controller.

The problem here is that what I am measuring is ANALOG & what I am wishing to measure is in DIGITAL.

So,I require help regarding Analog measurement of Current at the o/p of X'mer and Current comparator circuit or IC.

Please forward links if possible.

( Thanks 4 reading)

Re: Current Comparator

if u mean a current transformer, then u must term it with a load and measure its output voltage.
if u mean measuring outout currrent of a transformer, then use a shunt resistor and then measure its voltage drop.
if u need a current comparator use a current to voltage converter (like an opamp + a negative feedbak with a resistor) and then use a comparotor at its output.

BEST!
