please help me to understand this component discription

it is called 1NR100471 it is a disk leaded component looks like a ceramic Capacitor

in the schematic diagram it is called TNR

i doubt that it is a Negative Temperature Coefficient Resistor but i'm not sure
please help me and tell me how to read its value and its alternate components

Hi,
The correct part number should be INR10D471.
It is a metal oxide varistor (MOV).
Pls check out www.varistor.biz

Also,
INR, TNR and ZNR etc are MOV series manufactured by different companies.
