I want to amplify a electrical signal which have millivolt voltage.That is signal from IR sensor.I want to produce an IR intensity meter therefore I need to amplify voltage given by IR sensor into approximately 5V can any one give a circuit diagram for do this?

Search for operational amplifiers (or OpAmp) schematics on the web.
