i am trying to make a switch that can pass negative voltage...
i am thinking about using CMOS switch (please see attached file)
the problem is that i dont know what should ON and ON' should be?
i am thinking that they should be 5 and -5, respectively, when the switch is on.
when the switch is off, they should be -5 and 5...but that does not work....

Re: switch

since the input range is 5 to -5 apply control of greater than 5 and -5 say 10 and -10 to the ON and ON' terminal is a good idea.... especially to be sure that the MOSFET is off when it is supposed to be....

switch

which technology are u using, i do not think any of the current cmos technologies support 5v supplies.

I think maybe you should redesign you input CM voltage, it is better 2.5 for 0~5V, I don't think -5 ~5 can be done in any technology
