200w dcdc convertor

Dear all,
I want to develop 200W DC-Dc converter.
Details
input Range -18 to 36V
o/p Voltage: 24v
O/P current- 8A max
efficiency-85%
I am not clear if I need to use buck or buck and boost converter topology.
I also checked with the power integration ICs,but they do not support.

Thanks in advance.

Hi
8 amperes is quite a good energy to achieve. You can use SG3524 or SG3526 to drive output devices (like FETS) and a FERRITE core output transformer. A looped FEED back can give you stabilized output. If you need a practical circuit for reference mail me :

Raza,
I am extremely thankful to you.
I will definitely shoot a mail to your yahoo id regarding the practical circuit.

Best regards,
Sachin
