RFID beginner Help?

Hai
I would like to try my hands on a simple RFID system,Something like a attendence system. Little confused with different frequencies and different manufactures. Please guide me with a possible start up ckt or links .Microchip is no longer providing samples to india,I belive!. Which are other possible sourses which will provide samples in INDIA.Or at least any commercial sourses for these required devices in my country.
What is actually difference between Keeloq and these RFID chips of microchip.
thanks in advance

Re: RFID beginner Help?

I have been using the Texas tag-it rfid tags, which are cheap (about $0.50) and work well. I am using the 13.56 Mhz syatem. Check out this website: **broken link removed**
