Help me find a LCD for interfacing to display a chess board

i want to interface an lcd with µc to display the chess board
but i am unable to get right lcd

There is Chess program with all sources and schematic in Proteus (www.labcenter.com.uk) for differrent microcontrollers (8051, AVR, PIC). It uses connected graphic 256x256 dots LCD to display board.

How about using Nokia's color LCD as display, the LCD is cheap and comes with integrated controller which understands serial data
