Can someone figure out what the right type of resistor would be best on the Gate of this MOSFET.

FET Type MOSFET N-Channel, Metal Oxide
FET Feature Logic Level Gate
Rds On (Max) @ Id, Vgs 6.5 mOhm @ 45A, 10V
Drain to Source Voltage (Vdss) 30V
Current - Continuous Drain (Id) @ 25° C 90A
Vgs(th) (Max) @ Id 2.5V @ 250µA
Gate Charge (Qg) @ Vgs 47nC @ 5V
Input Capacitance (Ciss) @ Vds 2700pF @ 25V
Power - Max 150W

Re: Mosfet Gate Resistor

Ideally you don't want any resistor connected to the gate so that the mosfet can charge/discharge fast and as a result also switch on/off fast.
Sometimes depending on the application, switching speed and driver current capability you can use a very low or high value resistor (a few ohms or Kohms).
There is no right resistor, it depends on the application and even there different values can be used.

Re: Mosfet Gate Resistor

It depends on the purpose for the resistor.
Generally, choose a right value for ground bounce reduction.
