Hi all!
Long time no seing!!!
I have this conversion problem:
I have a unit that outputs 200 pulses for every 1 mile.
I have an interface which accepts 200 pulses for every knot ( 1nautical mile per hour) and outputs a RS232 signal equal to the speed in knots.
When I interface them I see in the output of the converter showing the 1/10th of the input I have from the primary unit. How I can multiply by 10 the output or convert the input from miles to knots ? ( second is more acceptable because I don't loose decimal digits).

Has anyone encounter this problem again?

Thanks,
D.

Re: Pulse conversion...

If the value is held in a register, using a ROM can do any sort of conversion you want.

Re: Pulse conversion...

Ok , good approach!
It is not but you gave me an idea: we input the 200P/ mile in a processor, we do the conversion then we output 200p/knot . Am I going well?

D.
