Choice of resistor value

Given that bandgap voltage is given by the ratio of two resistor values (R2/R1). Should you choose high resistor values or low resistor values, i.e. 20k/10k or 2k/1k in terms of lower resistance variation upon fabrication.

Thanks

Re: Choice of resistor value

your means is total resistor value ?? I use 20k order ..each unit use 1K for N_well resistor

Re: Choice of resistor value

Resistances value is denpending on the power dissipation , matching and temperature compensation.

In generally, the power dissipation and matching are key parameters.

In the meanwhile, the resistance noise is needed to be considered for the stablity of output.

Another side , the bandgap stablility is a factor because the postive and negative feedback are exist together.

Above three item is the criteria for the resistance value selection.

Re: Choice of resistor value

dear ccw27,
I hope both resistors are of the same type.
And then in fabrication if both would vary by same amount.
