Car motor monitor

Hi everybody,

I want to build a car motor monitor. This is a PIC or AVR programmed to monitor several parameters of a gas or alcool powerd car motor. I mean let's say one analog input monitors battery voltage with setup to low limit 11V and high limit 14,4V if the battery voltage drops below 11V or go upper than 14,4V a buzer will sound and the measured voltage will be displayed. Same way with water temp, oil pressure, break oil level and so on. Of course will be necessary to install some interface circuit ot monitor state of the lamps(high and low bean, break, etc) but some are already there(like low gas) just a digital input is enought.

Regards,

Fernando
