I'm designing a system where it consumes 3mA. I have to put something on the display. But the problem is, i cannot feed so much current.
Is there any LCD with backlight that consumes less than 1 mA?
I have searched a lot, but could not find any. If any one have come across. Please help.

Thanks in advance

You do not say what type of display you want, a 16x2 ?

You might find some lcds that use less than 3ma but with a led backlight , forget it, no way, you will have to stick with the reflective type.

whatever it may be 8x1, 16x1, 8x2. Any type.
I have to display some text on LCD.
So with backlight, there is no LCD? right? Or any other type of display?
Atleast, Is there any LED which consumes less than 1mA?

Hi,

You will have to use a x low power micro in order to get below 3ma that a typical 16F chip circuit uses.

Most ordinary lcds I have measured use 2-3ma without a backlight.

Most leds will run below 1ma , just that you will not get any usable light out ! - typically 30 -100ma needed for a 16x2 backlight.

Perhaps rethink your project parameters .. ?
