hello;

I am working on the project in which i need to run my robot to a particular distance say 3-6 m and then i need to take a turn or stop my robot.Can I Use Continously rotating servo motors to do so....?? If So How it is possible......
Please urgent help is needed...
Thank you in advance

Servo motors are designed for applications involving stationary position, not rotation continues.
If you want to use this way, engine modifications are required.

A stepper motor may be a better solution.

Here is one example of a continuous rotating servo:

They are easy to control with pulse width and provide forward, reverse, and stop. So, the answer to your original question is "yes." That is one application robot builders use them for. May servos can be modified by removing the physical stop for the gear train (if there is one) and putting a fixed resistor in place of the feedback potentiometer.
