hi im planning to create a energy harvesting circuit that will be directly connected to a 1.2V NiMH battery to charge it and measure the current going to the battery. I would like to hear your suggestions for components to optimize this setup especially the dc-dc converter

the setup im thinking of to test the idea of the battery charging with a piezo is

piezo -> rectifier -> dc-dc converter -> battery

is this the optimal setup to avoid losses?

Thanks

How much voltage from your piezo?

If you're talking about small piezo found in toys that makes sound, it's just to forget. There is almost no power at all.

when i tested it in an oscilloscope, i got around 10+v pk-pk. i don't think it's found in toys, more like in audio related applications

Can you post a picture of that?

How much current can you get out of it?
