Help in buying a GSM, GPS module.

I'm a quite hobbyists in working with electronics and embedded systems. Now I prefer to deal with GSM and GPS module. First, i will work on GSM and later GPS. I think, Buying a module separately will cost more. So I'm searching a module which is integrated both.
I've searched in the net and found SIMCOM modules will be suitable for learning. Now i feel difficult in selecting the module which has both GSM and GPS. I've found SIM908 which has both GSM and GPS facility. But i couldn't find with the GSM, GPS development kit.

Will it be suitable or do you suggest any other modules? If possible, do anyone know where can i find SIM908 development kit.
Please help.

Also, TTL or RS232 interface? which one will be prefered? Im using PIC18F2520.

Can find only SIM300 development kit. there is no SIM908 development kit.
