hello guys,
i need your help wiith IC max713
( datasheet: https://pdfserv.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/1666.pdf )
im trying to build ni-cad charger of 16 cells ,charge current of 1.2A and input voltage of 30v with max713 IC
acording to datasheet if dc in exceeds 20v i need to add transistor like in figure 5 in datasheet also if number of battery cells exceeds 11 i need to add circuitry in figure 15.
my question is wich one of them do i add?(figure 15 or 5)
